Where your advert sits

This is the template TWS newsletters are built from, rendered exactly as readers receive it, with each advertising placement marked and its specification alongside. Pick a title to see it in that title’s own masthead.

Shooting Times
The week’s biggest story leads the email
Plus: the rest of the week’s stories, and two features to deepen your understanding.
The subject line is the lead story’s headline; mobile inboxes show roughly the first six words (underlined). The preview text beneath it shows its first 90 to 140 characters.

1Top banner

The full-width strip directly under the masthead: the first thing every reader sees. The whole image clicks through to your link.

Any wording must be in the artwork; nothing is added around it.

2Sponsored post

A framed card in the body of the email: your picture, then a headline, copy and button in the title’s own editorial setting. Picture, headline and button all click through.

3Leaderboard

The same position sold picture-only: your finished creative is the advert, with no copy added. Use this when your creative carries the sell itself.

Booking

Everything in by 12:00 London the day before the send. A booking needs the placement, the title and issue date, artwork to spec, copy to the word counts, and a tested https link.

Send days: Shooting Times Fridays, Gun Trade Insider Mondays, Sporting Gun alternate Sundays, the rest fortnightly.

Every issue is curated by the editorial desk on the morning of the send, and each email reports opens and clicks per placement, so you see exactly what your slot did. The pictures in the stories above are placeholders; readers see that week’s editorial photography. Bookings and questions: your Time Well Spent account manager, or twsgroup.com.
